In December of 2022, my family faced an unimaginable tragedy with the loss of our home in a house fire. My sister was the only one home at the time and spent over a month in the hospital recovering from her injuries. I wrote this blog as a way to keep my hometown community updated on her condition, as well as a way for Madelyn to see everything she’s overcome.
