Amazing Madelyn Grace: Gettin’ things done.

Here’s the stuff and the things:

Mad had a rougher night last night due to the pain from her surgery and they forgot to plug in her bed and it was deflated all night. We got her situated today and we hope for tonight to be better!

She had a big day full of PT and OT and did really well and soon she will be on the road to rehab! We still aren’t sure when and where she’ll be, but she gets stronger and stronger every day.

She had a pretty good day of eating. She ate some fruit for breakfast and some fries and a bit of her burger at lunch. She ate some nuggets from McDonalds and treated herself to a nice, cold frozen Coke! Very different from her thickened liquids and probably against the speech therapist’s rules, but sometimes you just have to rebel.

The burn team came in and redressed her face and said everything is looking good! Her personality also is definitely coming back more and more every day which we are glad to see.

Overall, not much to say about today other than she’s moving on up! Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer until we can say goodbye to the hospital and get her to rehab.
