Amazing Madelyn Grace: Good stuff.

Good evening! Sorry for the later posts, but today was pretty good and Mad is making good progress every day!

The burn team came in and checked her face grafts this morning and redressed her; they said everything looks really good!

Her appetite is improving and she is finally cleared for all liquids and foods! No more thick milk officially! She ate a good lunch, an afternoon snack and a good bit of her dinner.

She had an impressive day of physical therapy with an obstacle course with steps and picking items up. They’re hopeful that she will be able to shower in the next few days! That will be a big step in being able to use her hands.

She sat in the recliner for most of the day after that. Just lots of resting after lots of good physical therapy.

Super short update this evening, but the short ones just mean she’s getting a lot better every day! We are hopeful that these next few days will be very pivotal in her recovery, and we cross our fingers and pray that we might have a special 24th birthday miracle on Saturday.
